Our Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) essential oil is 100% pure; grown, handpicked and steam-distilled from the leaves and shoots grown in our herb gardens at the base of Mt Kenya. It has been successfully used by the Australian Aborigines for centuries to treat a variety of ailments.

Benefits: It is an excellent antimicrobial agent; killing all forms of harmful micro-organisms such as viruses, fungi and bacteria. In skin care, it is known to treat acne, dandruff, rashes and infected wounds. Additionally, it tends to boost the immune system, increasing its ability to respond to infections.

Tips for Blending: It blends well with our lavenders, geranium, thyme; rosemary, lemongrass, eucalyptus globulus. Use it to add a camphoraceous note to your blend as well ashore its properties which fight infection.

Contraindications and Use: Do not apply to the skin directly. Dilute the oil in a carrier oil such as sunflower or moringa, at a maximum of 6%. Avoid during pregnancy, and should not be used by epileptics and those with high blood pressure. Do not apply to or near the face of infants or children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight in the original container. Use within 36 months.
